How do I get a Johnston County Library Card?

To get a library card, you must:

Be a resident of Johnston County or any other County that is a member of the NC Cardinal Consortium.

(1) Present your photo ID (such as a NC Drivers License, NC ID card, Consulate ID, etc.) with your current address or
(2) Present your photo ID, and a piece of mail (utility bill, bank statement, lease, etc.) with your current address

Children age 5 and up (or enrolled in Kindergarten) are eligible for their own library card. They must be with a parent or guardian with an active Johnston County Library account.

*Students enrolled in Johnston County Schools will have a library account through the school system. They will not have a physical card – to check out items, they simply need their school ID number.
